I’m Crystal King and I’m the Momma to the sweetest little boy, Avery King. I have worked Full-Time as a Creative Director for years but now I’m working independently to spend as much time with my son as possible.
After surviving a life threatening pregnancy and delivery, I feel compelled to share my testimony of how great God has been. And after several months of building up the courage to speak, I have finally chosen this platform to share the adventures of Avery and I and provide some design secrets too!
At 7 months of pregnancy, I was forced to deliver my son Avery due to lack of weight gain (I only gained 7lbs my entire pregnancy y’all) and super high blood pressure (we’re talking levels at which most people have strokes). Immediately after the delivery, I went into kidney failure and was instructed to start finding living donors for a kidney transplant. Avery, which means King of The Little People, spent several weeks in NIC-U while I battled for my health in a nearby room in the hospital.
I’ve finally regained my strength so now I’m venturing out more with Avery and sharing our experiences + stories of resiliency in Motherhood here.
My only regret is that I wish I could’ve started this website during my pregnancy but I’m slowly telling my story and how I’m raising a King.
When I’m not chasing Avery, I’m usually location scouting or shooting family lifestyle portraits. I find so much joy in meeting new people, discovering what excites you, and capturing those moments forever in time through photography.
Photography is so magical because it captures very special moments in time forever. If you’ll have me, I would love to capture you story! Just visit the contact page to connect with me personally.
In the meantime, I’m so glad that you’re here with us and along for the journey.
